Shining Reality of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality

For those who followed the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), computer generated artificial reality is unarguably one of the hottest themes this year. The technology is maturing and enabling an assortment of applications in virtual and augmented reality. The floodgates have opened and the big waves of VR/AR devices are coming. Join us to ride the new wave of AR/VR technologies and surf to the top.

The CASPA Symposium group is bringing you a timely and affluent program focusing on VR/AR with expert presentations and a demo workshop in this year’s spring symposium. The amazing lineup of speakers starts with Anders Grunnet-Jepsen, CTO and Director of Intel’s Perceptual Computing Group. Dr. Grunnet-Jepsen is a consummate inventor, researcher, and entrepreneur with patents, research papers coauthored with Nobel Prize winners, and extensive startup experiences through founding one company and being CTO for two startups. He has a PhD in Optical Engineering from Oxford and speaks four languages. The next speaker is Volker Politz, Vice President Segment Marketing of Imagination Technology, a company that is well known for GPU semiconductor IPs. Mr. Politz is an international marketing, business development and management executive with over 20 years’ experience in semiconductor and technology companies. The last speaker is Will Mason, Co-Founder and Editor in Chief of UploadVR. Being a virtual reality evangelist, Mr. Mason is dedicated to accelerating the growth of the virtual reality community through sharing wealthy information of the VR industry in UploadVR, which is named the "Fastest Growing Pre-Series A Startup in the Bay Area" by Mattermark. The Symposium also provides practical knowledge through a demo workshop in which a Sr. Intel apps engineer demonstrates the programming of AR/VR applications using Intel RealSense technology.
