[TAITA Annual Conference] Intelligent Robotics And Automation – The Impact To Lifestyles And Business04/30/2016 - 04/30/2016

The 2016 Taiwanese American Industrial Technology Association will hold it Annual Conference on April 30. The theme "Intelligent Robotics and Automation - The Impact to Lifestyles and Business" puts its focus on automation and robotics, with their profound implications on future workplace and lifestyle, disrupting old and creating new industries. Recently from the news, we hear AI beats human in chess Go, all big car companies invest in self driving cars. Various reports talk about automatic robots replacing or helping human beings in work and daily lives. Intelligent machines in 21 century will not only have cognitive ability to perform human-like activities but could improve itself via big data machine learning.


      To give audience a general view, we will have world famous robot expert Dr. Luo to explain fundamental technology from academic perspective. Dr. Day from Foxconn will discuss manufacturing with robot and industrial 4.0 in practice. Mr Zhu from Google will uncover the autonomous driving technology as a lead practicing engineer. Vice president Dr. Chen Liang-Gee from National Taiwan University will also bring us how the universities in Asia can participate in this emerging field.


      Additionally, we invite several panelists from bay area companies to share with us about smart factory and various interesting robots. Finally, Dr. Chang will talk about Taiwan government’s future economy policy and technology strategy in the evening keynote speech.


      As the conference program schedule below, free afternoon talk will start at 12:50 PM and continue until 5:20pm. Banquet dinner and evening keynote sessions will follow.
