Description

In conjunction with design centers throughout North America, India and China, the UK Design Centre develops mixed signal and analogue products for the power management and video signal processing markets utilizing BCD, BiCMOS, CMOS and advanced bipolar technologies.

Description:
Reporting to and working with the UK Design Engineering Director, the Office Manager will act as the focus for all administrative tasks within the UK Design Operation, including but not limited to:

•    Purchasing
o    Research and identification of vendors
o    Preparation of purchase orders
o    Tracking of purchase orders
o    Shipping and receiving
o    Reconciliation of purchase orders against received goods
o    Development and maintenance of a vendor log
•    Corporate Filing
o    Asset records and tags
o    Purchasing records
o    Employee records
•    Document Control
o    Coordination of documentation upload to the web
o    Development and maintenance of operating procedures
•    Office supply coordination
•    Director level support
•    HR liaison with German operation
o    Payroll
o    Recruitment including
•    liaising with agencies to identify candidates
•    administration of interview and hiring process
o    Vacation
o    New Starters
o    IT/phone supply and setup
o    Space coordination
o    New starter orientation
•    Finance liaison with German operation
o    Bill payment
o    Payroll
o    P11d preparation and submission
•    Employee business travel planning
•    Health & Safety
o    scheduling equipment tests
o    updating policies and documents
o    coordinating quarterly inspections
•    IT
o    purchase of IT equipment
o    hardware repairs and upgrades in conjunction with IT
•    Support provider
o    software upgrades
o    maintenance of software log
o    maintenance of intranet site
•    Facilities contracts
o    Janitorial services
o    Fax/photocopier maintenance
•    Compilation of weekly reports to US operation
•    Mail including preparation of courier packages
•    Maintenance of the office calendar
•    Meeting /video conference coordination

Requirement

Skills:
A successful candidate must have the following skills:
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Excellent organizational skills.
•    A good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office software suite:
o    MS Word
o    MS Excel
o    MS PowerPoint
o    MS Access
o    MS Outlook
•    Typing skills of 30-50 words per minute or better.
Qualifications:
•    A minimum of five GCSE grade C or better qualifications.
•    At least two years relevant work experience.
