Department Profile: Enterprise Storage Systems group is an exciting new group at Marvell. ESS is focused on developing ground breaking new technologies for the explosive data storage markets. ESS offers excellent opportunities for advancing professional goals for the motivated candidate.
Job Summary: Member of a software engineering team responsible for developing new paradigm shifting data storage technologies.
Essential Functions: 
• Develop Windows/VMWare device drivers for high performance storage systems.
• Participate in product definition, design, implementation, debugging, testing and early customer support.
• Participate in technical communication with other parts of Marvell including hardware development, marketing etc.
• Work collaboratively with other engineers, and be willing to take on any engineering tasks that contribute to the progress towards the goals of the team and the company. 

Core Competencies : 
• Windows and VMWare Kernel software (Device Driver) development 
• Proficiency in C and experience in developing and debugging software in Unix environment
• Scheduling, Memory Management, SMP.
- Experience with DMA Engines, PCIe.

Requirement

Minimum BS CS/CE or equivalent, with at least 6 years experience in the architecture, design, and/or development of operating systems software including device drivers, kernel development, SMP. 
MS or PhD preferred.
Requirements: 
• 5+ years of experience working in a kernel level design and development. 
• Hands-on experience developing device drivers, symmetric multi-processing, memory management in a Windows operating system.
• Proficiency in C and debugging skills are required. 
• Algorithim, data structures and/or multi threaded programming expertise are required. 
• Committment to sound software engineering practices and a passion for quality. 
• Proven record of meeting tight deadlines without sacrificing quality. 
• Strong communication skills are essential, both written and oral, targeted at a wide variety of internal and external audiences. 
• Expected: independence, drive, motivation, willingness to go above and beyond, flexibility, and cooperative spirit.

The ideal candidate is proficient in developing device drivers on Windows platform. Knowledge of VMWare and PCIe is a plus.
