Description

The position of program manager requires multi-functional experiences in system products, PCB design, Enterprise system design, and software development. PM should be experienced with software development cycles, especially, for storage networking products, PCB or system level hardware design flow and requirement, and board design, development and production requirements. He/she should also facilitate the software and hardware design, production and qualification testing targeted for the Storage industry. A Program Manager for Marvell is an engineering management position (not marketing or sales). PM will need to coordinate discussion between Engineering, Operations and Marketing to define the product, monitor the design, coordinate the sample production, facilitate completion of internal & customer qualification testing and release & revision of specifications & production documentation. PM will be working on multiple projects in different phases of design, validation, qualification and production. Good organizational skills and strong verbal and written communication skills are required to move projects forward smoothly. Much of the organization and communication will be done in meetings, conference calls as well as using PC and Microsoft Office tools. PM will need mature judgment and negotiation skills to resolve resource conflicts with other projects and negotiate for the most efficient use of resources. PM will need to take input from various sources from Engineering, Operations, and Marketing and combine them into an objective estimate of when tasks can be completed and how much it will cost.

Requirement

BS in Engineering or Science with EE or CS preferred. Advanced degree is a plus. PM certification is a plus.
Experience of at least 5 years as engineer and 3 years as a manager or project lead or project manager at a storage or telecommunications company working on systems level products.
