Cloud computing have made significant advancement and transformations. Cloud enables and makes easy for mass data and information available to anyone, anytime, and anywhere. The sharing in real time with mass audience has many significant impacts to business, social life, as well as politics that we have evidenced. The transformation of putting everything into cloud has accelerating in the industry. To follow-up our last year’s theme on “Mobile Social and Cloud’, we have selected our general theme of “Cloud Computing” with focus of “Emerging Technologies and Applications” this year. This year, we have also invited more participants from Taiwan and made this year’s conference a truly international. With our exciting speakers and forum, we hope the exchange of knowledge and ideas from participants will help the advance of cloud computing. We hope that this conference would also help to provide a platform to facilitate the communication and collaboration, to uncover and stimulate development, collaboration, and investment opportunities between the talent pools, institutions, and corporations in Taiwan and USA. The Science and Technology Division of Taipei Economic and Culture Office in San Francisco (STSF), and the North America Taiwanese Engineering and Science Association, Silicon Valley Chapter (NATEA-SV) have jointly led the planning of the US Taiwan High-Tech Forums (UTHF), under the sponsorship of National Science Council (NSC) of Taiwan, R.O.C.
