Synopsis

Silicon Valley Taiwanese American Industrial Technology Association (TAITA-SV) will host its 2015 annual conference on Saturday, May 2, 2015 in San Jose. The theme of the annual conference is Internet of Things- Where Are the REAL Opportunities? Particularly, we focus on the emerging technology arenas and disruptive business models for Internet of Things that have a high potential to change our lifestyle and reshape the industry value chains.

The 2015 TAITA-SV Annual Conference will be featured with three outstanding afternoon guest speakers  with distinctive track records in their respective major regions of business practices. They will share their key insights and provide a high-level guidance for the likely Internet of Things business trend and monetizing of Internet of Things over the next several years.

Additionally, we also invite four panelists to join the panel discussion in which we will address the business opportunities and monetizing of Smart Home - Towards an Intelligent and Automated World. According to the research of 2014 State of the Smart Home, there are about 1.9 billion devices connected and we are expecting having more than 9 billion devices connected in 2018. The number indicates a dramatic fast growing industry. In our panel discussion, we would like to focus on the drivers of the Smart Home, the concern from users and the features which will likely push the industry to the next generation.

The 2015 AC will culminate at the evening banquet keynote speech by Dr. Robert Heller, who was served as a Governor of the Federal Reserve System and President of VISA, USA. Dr. Robert Heller, an immigrant himself, will examine the contributions of American immigrants to the economy. He will also present his views on immigration reform. With Dr. Robert Heller’s past experience, we are expecting that his sharing of his expert perspectives on the Macro Economic trends and the increasingly Innovation-bound Society will greatly benefit the conference attendees.
